Actors club is a club that provides a safe space for everyone interested in the performing arts to present their art to peers and the community. This is not limited to just Theatre majors, it is open to any student looking for a place to meet friends, see, and participate in theatre.

​This club is dedicated to creating animated shorts in a team environment. Members gain valuable industry skills and experience through practice. We plan to produce a 1-2 minute animated short each term. Each member will use their unique skills to work in collaboration to create the animated short for that term. A variety of skills will be needed to produce a successful animated short, including (but not limited to); 2D/3D animation, background design, script writing, sound design, storyboarding, voice acting, and more! At the end of each term there will be a showcase event to show off the hard work that all of our members put towards creating the animated short!

The goal of this organization is to be with like minded people when trying to pursue your growth in faith. We have dinner every tuesday night followed by a bible study session. We connect students with each other and professors in the biology department that can provide a new perspective to academic and career goals in biology. We go on regular outings to build community, appreciate the natural beauty of Ashland, and build in care for mental and physical health into the college experience. Members can gain experience with a diversity of plants from the greenhouse and participate in our seasonal overnight trips!

The Chemistry Club is open to ALL SOU students regardless of major or department, we hope to create an environment where everyone that enjoys cool science feels welcome!

The SOU Chemistry Club is an affiliate of the American Chemical Society that aims to promote an appreciation of chemistry through demonstrations, volunteer activities, and social gatherings.
We work to improve skills in communicating science to the public through events like Fall into Chemistry, our annual demo show.
Members also build community with others who love science—join us for game nights, tie dying, and more!

The main purpose of the SOU chess club is to provide a space for SOU students & alumni to play chess casually, learn tactics together, and discuss current events in the global chess community. This club is open to players of all skill levels including new players who have never played before, but are interested in learning. Chess has been known to have an intimidating stigmatization surrounding it, which can make prospective players feel overwhelmed or intimidated when learning how to play. The SOU chess club aims to change that commonly held predisposition and to create an environment of friendly sportsmanship, community, and collective growth. Players that are seeking a more competitive atmosphere can also find opportunities to challenge similarly skilled or higher level players in friendly tournaments against fellow members or represent SOU in tournaments that may be held locally, for example.

Creative Writing Club is a place for horse girls, snake charmers, raven hearts, reality TV lovers, and those resembling writers. It's a place to share words, combine them, create new ones, chew on them only to spit them back up. It's where reality becomes story and story becomes truth. In Creative Writing Club, there are no borders, only ways to destroy them. We not only practice the art of writing, we give it new meaning. We do this through sharing our work, developing routines, exploring form, and putting on readings for all the strange and unusual to enjoy.

Criminology Club strives to provide SOU students with connections, information, and resources about the Criminal Justice system and field of Criminology. Our meetings will be spent organizing collaborative events between members of the club to participate in extracurricular events. These events will have the intent of further enriching our criminological knowledge! Textbooks are exchanged and sold between members to keep costs down among students. We also encourage our members to study collaboratively whenever permitted by instructors!

Welcome all!
This is the Hospitality and Tourism Management Club at Southern Oregon University. This club aims to give students an opportunity to learn about the hospitality industry. The hospitality industry has a wide variety of opportunities to learn about food and drink services, event planning, loading services, theme park management, travel services, tourism, restaurant service, bar service, and so much more! We plan our events and learning opportunities around what our students are interested in and how we can progress their career opportunities.

The club also volunteers at local events such as the Oregon Wine Festival, the Cheese Festival, and the Oregon Chocolate Festival. These events and our other many fundraising events allow us to fund and plan yearly trips to explore behind the scenes at some hospitality industries that allow us to visit them. We are excited to continue this club for students who desire to be adventurous and learn a new skill!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the International Student Association (ISA). This club is a warm and welcoming place for students to gather and share about culture, cultural experiences and to learn more about others. Our goal is to share our incredibly diverse cultures and backgrounds with SOU students, faculty/staff and local community members. We love to discuss, share and do fun activities as a group.

Typically you will find a mixture of domestic and international students. If you are interested in studying abroad or have just returned, this club is a great way to stay connected. The one thing we all have in common is WANDERLUST! So if you are interested in traveling, sharing or just listening to others share about their culture please join us!

Some of the fun activities the club has done in previous years is a fall camping trip, pumpkin carving, international dinner, movie nights, ice skating and a coast trip. We look forward to meeting you!
